"Why Legolas? Because he possesses a beauty and integrity that some may wish was present in our own world. Legolas has strength, courage, beauty, intelligence, purity, etc. that expresses what many dream of having. If our world was tainted with people who had the likeness of Legolas, we would be living in an amazing, lavish world where, throughout our trials and tribulations, we would still find time to "sing about trees". :-) For instance, my country, Ireland, is so submersed in fighting and foolish folly that we never stop to think how blessed we are to reside in such a beautiful land. I pray for the people who live in lands whose fighting make it hard to carry on with life (especially those in the Holy Lands of the Middle East). I hope that we all can remember the strength of Legolas, as well as the Fellowship, despite the disputes they had to face, and remember to stay strong and keep peace in out hearts. "Why Legolas? Well, I was first drawn to the character through the film, Orlando Bloom's portrayl of Legolas was amazing, it was like Orlando had given him a face.
